We are proud to support the organizations that tirelessly work towards improving the quality of life in our community. The My Fair Share program serves as an exemplary model of how individuals can directly benefit these organizations. Every year, employees of Commerce Bank of Wyoming nominate local organizations to receive monetary donations. They have the freedom to choose which organizations to support by donating a percentage of their pay throughout the year. In this blog post, we will showcase the recipients of the 2023 My Fair Share Program.

This year our culture committee challenged us to complete a service project that benefits our community that is driven by our culture statement, Community Minded.  They called this challenge, Project [Blank], with our team filling in the blank as to what project to choose.  We accepted the challenge and got to work!  We filled in the blank and chose to call our plan, Project Hope.

Each year, our employees nominate various organizations in our community to be the recipients of monetary donations contributed solely by the Bank employees. The “My Fair Share” program allows employees to decide what percentage of their contribution will directly benefit each organization. The recipients of the 2022 My Fair Share Program are the Red Desert Humane Society and Hospice of Sweetwater County.

CBWY employees can be found volunteering at a variety of events throughout the year; after all, we take great pride in our volunteerism.  Not only are the employees of CBWY generous with their time, but they also give back to the community monetarily through the “My Fair Share Program”.

 “My Fair Share” program was born from our culture and the commitment to do our part to make the places we live one that we can be proud of.

It’s that time again for CBWY’s annual “Race to a Million”.  For the next 90 days NLB (CBWY) teams of three will be lacing up their walking shoes and putting their best feet forward and race to be the first team to reach one million steps.  The first team to reach a million steps will win bragging rights, and a total of $750 for the team to donate to the nonprofit of their choice.  That $250 for each team member! 

Every year Commerce Bank of Wyoming teams up with the American Bankers Association in a joint effort to Teach Children to Save.  This year, with classrooms across the nation moving to the kitchen table, we are bringing Teach Children to Save into your home as well.  We want to provide you with tools and fun activities that will break the ice and start a conversation with your kids about money.  

At Commerce Bank of Wyoming, one of our culture statements is “Comm(unity) Minded”.  This part of our culture is so ingrained in every one of us, that we can’t help but approach everything with a community minded point of view, even a pandemic. Our employees have been asking how they can help support our community so we thought we would share some ideas.
